"Plein Air Palms"


I was on vacation last week in Arizona and had a chance to do some plein air painting.

    I always find it interesting to see the scene vs the painting - to see how the artist interprets what he sees. What is left out, included and/or changed. Love your interpretation, John. The simplicity, brush strokes and composition. Nice work!

      Thanks Jean. I find painting outside difficult but it is a good way to learn. Like you said it forces you to simplify and paint quickly.
